Julia is the Victim and Witness Specialist at the United States Attorney’s Office in Baton Rouge, La. Julia spent more than 10 years working in the field of law enforcement, at the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, before moving to her position with the federal government. While at the Sheriff’s Office, she initiated a Crime Victim Assistance program to aid victims in East Baton Rouge Parish. At the US Attorney’s Office she informs victims of their rights in the federal justice system, guides them through the court system, and directs them to appropriate social services. Julia’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Public Administrations degree, both from Louisiana State University.
