| The following scholarships are intended for Criminal Justice students, but there are other scholarships available regardless of major field of study. For more information, contact: Adele M. Bulliard, DirectorLouisiana Sheriff's Association Scholarship The Louisiana Sheriff's Association offers a one-time scholarship award to high school seniors who make better than a 21 on their ACT and have selected criminal justice as a field of study. Individual parishes administer the scholarship in different ways, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Department allows the University's Scholarship Office to accept applications for the scholarship and the faculty of Criminal Justice to select the scholarship recipient. Applications are available in the University's Scholarship Office (see box above). Completed applications should be submitted before May preceeding entry to the University. Sally Lawrence McKissack Scholarship Contact: Department Head, Criminal Justice P.O. Box 41652 Lafayette, LA 70504-1652 Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and be eligible to enter his/her junior year. Must have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Scholarship pays $500 annually for one semester, to be awarded in the Fall. |
