Criminal Justice Week—March 17th - 21st

Join us for a week of exciting events open to anyone interested in learning about the criminal justice field. The only event exclusive to Criminal Justice Society members is the VIP tour.


Event Schedule:

March 17th—Graduate Student Research Presentations
• Time: 3:30 PM
• Location: H.L. Griffin Room 315
• Details: Graduate students will present their research projects, showcasing the latest developments and findings in the field of criminal justice.

March 18th—Guest Speaker: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
• Time: 3:00 PM
• Location: Bayou Bijou Theatre
• Details: A representative from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children will discuss their work, initiatives, and the vital role they play in combating child exploitation and abduction.

March 19th—Women in Justice Roundtable
• Time: 3:15 PM
• Location: Atchafalaya Ballroom A
• Details: A roundtable discussion highlighting the achievements and challenges faced by women in the criminal justice field. Experts will share their experiences and insights into the evolving role of women in justice-related professions.

March 21st—Friday Field Trip: Federal Courthouse Tour by US Marshal
• Time: RSVP Required
• Location: Federal Courthouse
• Details: This exclusive field trip includes a tour of the Federal Courthouse, guided by a US Marshal. Learn about the operations of the court system and the important role marshals play in federal law enforcement.
• RSVP: Must RSVP to attend.
