On March 29, the Hilliard Museum held a community forum to discuss the issue of incarceration in Louisiana. This discussion was in conjunction with the Hilliard's exhibit: Slavery, the Prison Industrial Complex. A number of stakeholders presented information in their areas of expertise, including Dr. Ami Stearns, Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice. The evening's highlights included first-hand accounts of Louisiana prisons from formerly incarcerated individuals.
